CWRDM is a premier R & D institution in the water sector established by the Government of Kerala. The Centre was amalgamated with the Kerala State Council for Science, Technology and Environment (KSCSTE) in 2003. EPCO was established by the Housing and Environment Department of the Government of Madhya Pradesh in 1981 and presently under the Urban Development and Environment Department of the Government of Madhya Pradesh. The NCSCM, Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, has the following vision and mission that would aid in the better protection, conservation, rehabilitation, management and policy design of the coast. For over 60 years, the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH has been working jointly with partners in India for sustainable economic, ecological, and social development. Commissioned in India on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and the Federal Ministry for Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU), the Indo-German Biodiversity Programme (IGBP) is being jointly implemented by the Indian Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC) and GIZ India to address the challenges of biodiversity conservation. Under the programme, the ‘Wetlands Management for Biodiversity and Climate Protection’ project is being implemented in close cooperation with the National Plan for Conservation of Aquatic Ecosystems (NPCA) of the MoEFCC at four Ramsar sites in India.

Wildlife Institute of India (WII) is an Autonomous Institution of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India. Established in 1982, it is an internationally acclaimed Institution, which offers training program, academic courses and advisory in wildlife research and management. The Institute is actively engaged in research across the breadth of the country on biodiversity related issues. WII has been recently identified as a Knowledge Partner of the Ministry for Wetland Conservation and Management related endeavours.
